But my recipes call for HOT turkey sausage!!! I'm attempting Pasta e fagioli and parmesian polenta with sausage and mushrooms this week and the grocery only carried sweet. What can I add so I can still use the sweet?

I really don't cook a lot of sausage but thought I would go ahead and try these out because the SO loves sausage. But, I don't really know much about it. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! TIA!

The hot turkey sausage is not really all that hot.... though it's a little more spicy. Maybe add some crushed red pepper and some more fennel??

I use turkey sausage all the time since it has a fraction of the fat and not all of the yucky additives. I agree- add a pinch of crushed red pepper and you'll be set!
