I just went to my first Weight Watcher's meeting today. My 20 year high school class reunion is this summer.('nuf said)
What Cooking Light recipies are good for this program? How do you calculate the points? do you figure out every point for the ingredients or do you use the little point calculator slide ruler looking thing?
Thanks in advance for all of the great advice I know I will get

Hi Susan,
There are lots of weight watchers on the CL boards. Over on the Healthy Living board, there is a weekly thread called "The Me I Want to Be" which is a sort of support group for CL folks who are following weight watchers. You'll find lots of great advice and info there!
In terms of how I calculate points... for CL recipes and others where nutritional information is provided, I use the PointsFinder slider-thingie. Otherwise, I figure the points for each ingredient, add them up, and divide by the number of servings.
Good luck! :)

<sigh>....my 25th reunion was in 1999, and in September of 1998, I joined WW to slim down for the event. I lost 14 pounds by Christmas, achieved "lifetime status" and stayed within 2 pounds of my goal weight until the reunion. But at the reunion dinner, I had butter on my green beans (for the first time in nearly a year!) and it was bye-bye WW. :p And while I have since packed about 10 of those lost pounds back on, I each a much more healthful diet, drink lots of water, my cholesterol is much lower and I work out regularly. I'm within my weight range for my age and height, so I just tell myself I set my goal weight too low and now I eat pretty much what I want.
Good luck...there's a whole new world opening up for you with WW and this bb!

As far as any good CL recipes are concerned, there are tons of good ones that would fit the bill. I tend to take the calculator/slidy/doohicky thing and figure out the points for any recipes that look good to me, if it is a number I can live with I give it a shot, if not I pass it by. Also remember to keep an eye on the portion size listed to stay within points. Come over and join us on THe Me I want to be thread sometime.
