I just checked out the Cooking Light Cookbook 1994 and WW Simply the Best Cookbook from the library. I was wondering if any of you have made any of the recipes from these books and which ones you would reccommend. TIA

Hi, Sarah,
The black-eyed pea salad was very good, although I used wine vinegar because I didn't have any cider vinegar. I think the hot sauce really makes this dish. Thanks for reminding me of it so I can make it again soon. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Oops... I just realized that I have it annotated as 1994, so it may have been from a 1994 issue of CL rather than the 1994 annual. If so, run to the library and find the 1995 annual to get this recipe. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/tongue.gif Or I guess I can post it for you. (It isn't Alzheimer's; I've been like this all my life!)

Cheers, Phoebe

Sarah,
It looks like I haven't made many of the reipces from the 1994 book, but I did note "very good" next to the turkey scallopini.

Phoebe,
There is a recipe in the 1994 book for a black-eyed pea salad with cider vinegar. So your annotation looks like it is correct!

So many recipes, so little time!
