light cream

I have a recipe that calls for light cream, what type of cream should I buy? Thanks for your help.

Oh I get so frustrated with finding "light cream". A few years back, it was easy to find at Kroger, now it is gone!! I wish you much luck and maybe I can learn where to find it(light whipping cream).

can you just use half n half??? I'm not sure maybe someone else will be able to tell us.

Light cream is NOT a whipping cream. I've usually just happened upon it (labeled "light cream") in the milk/cream/half & half department.
It IS half of half & half, so if you can figure out how to filter out the milk (the other half)... http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif Actually, in a pinch, depending on the recipe, half & half should do.
