Hi everyone - I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good baked beans recipe. I'm planning to make the Tarragon Turkey Burgers tomorrow night, and my husband and I love baked beans with burgers. Usually I'm so busy with school work that I just crack open a can of Heinz beans. Now that I finally graduated though (Ah!!), I finally have time to do more cooking!! So, I thought I would try and make some this time. I'd be especially interested in recipes without meat, or with a small amount since we'll be having it with burgers. Oh, and I tried to do a search, but every time I try to click on a recipe link.. it says the page can not be found. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Anyway, thanks for any help!:)

I have a great "recipe", but can't tell you exact amounts:
Brown some chopped onion (1/2 cup?) with bacon (2-3 slices, chopped),
add 1 can VanCamp Pork & Beans. Stir in BBQ sauce (1/2 to 3/4 cup?),
brown sugar (2-3 tablespoons) and the secret ingredient Woody's Cook-in Sauce (2-3 tablespoons). This sauce is a barbecue concentrate and sometimes hard to find. I live in Overland Park (Kansas City) and get it at Price Chopper grocery store.
I just make one can if it's only me, my husband and 11 year old. I made some last week to go with turkey burgers cooked on the grill. I started the beans while my husband started the charcoal, and by the time the coals were hot and the burgers cooked, my beans were ready.
There's a recipe in the March issue that sounds great, but I haven't tried: Fiery Chipotle Baked Beans (page 120). You could easily leave out the chorizo if you want meatless beans. Good Luck!

I absolutely loved the Fiery Chipotle Baked Beans. Here are two threads about them:

If you need the recipe, just let me know.

Wait, I just found a thread with the recipe:
