Okay- More often than not I give up on CL's recipe search because I have to search through 50 random recipes to find the one I want, none of which are in alphabetical order. Is it just me, or is the recipe search kind of a pain to use? Any helpful hints on how to make it more user friendly? Often I know the main ingredients but not the exact name of the recipe. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
I can appreciate your frustration.
I can tell you only that the more you narrow your search, the more chance you have of finding it easily. Try to use at least the first two steps for searching, mentioning more unusual ingredients if possible. (I don't even want to think how many billion recipes you'd be liable to get if you typed in "onions, oregano" in one screen, pasta in the other...
If you have an inkling what year and month your recipe was published, you can also check the annual index of recipes to see if any of the names jog your memory-- which will further facilitate searching. Beware, though-- if you haven't used the annual index, it's broken down by food classification and I don't believe it's alphabetized either.
And remember, not everything is in the Recipe Finder. You may just have to come back and check here! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

I wish you could search a title, or just use the second search, just for all the recipes in a certain catagory!
