View Full Version : Substituting Olives

My husband and I don't like olives and I was wondering what a good substitution for them would be. I want to make the mozzarella wraps displayed in the picnic section, but think by just leaving them out may compromise the flavor.

Capers are probably a good one, but neither of us are crazy about those either. What other ideas does anyone have?

Thanks,
Christine

Roasted red peppers? After reading the recipe, I don't really think you have to substitute anything if you don't want to.

I was reading a list of substitutions, and that stuck in my mind: capers can be substituted for olives, if desired.

I don't think the flavor would be the same, though it could be a near thing for green olives, but it might be worth a try.
