Hey there I was reading past post and came across these two recipe names, I did a search and looked in my Best of CL book and couldn't find either. If anyone has these I would love to get them. Recipe names were Sausage soup with spinach and wild rice, and Deviled Chicken Breast

The Sausage Soup is in the Oct/00 issue, p178. Haven't found the Deviled Chicken recipe

Here's the Deviled Chicken recipe. I haven't made it, but it's now on the "to try" list.

Deviled Chicken Breasts

2 tablespoons seasoned bread crumbs
4 skinless boneless chicken breast halves (4
oz)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup Chablis or other dry white wine
1/2 teaspoon dried whole savory -- crushed
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
1 (4 oz.) jar whole mushrooms -- drained
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon honey mustard
parsley sprigs -- optional
Place breadcrumbs in a large zip-top heavy-duty plastic bag. Add chicken; seal bag, and shake to coat chicken with breadcrumbs.
Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add chicken, and cook 3 minutes on each side or until browned. Add wine and next 4 ingredients; cover, reduce heat, and cook 15 minutes or until chicken is done.
Remove chicken and mushrooms with a slotted spoon, and place on a serving plate. Add lemon juice and mustard to skillet; stir well. Cook 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Serve sauce with chicken. Garnish with parsley sprigs if desired. Serving size: 1 chicken breast half and 1 tablespoon sauce.

I've made both if these. The sausage soup was really good and made wonderful leftovers. The deviled chicken breasts was in the 5-Star CL book. It was very good also. My SO loved it too, and he's not crazy about chicken.

The deviled chicken breasts are a staple at my house. I love them, my SO loves them and any guests I have ever served them to love them. Make and enjoy!
