View Full Version : Now I am Grandmother Pat!
I have been with my daughter and her family for the past five days celebrating the birth of my first grandchild. I am another of those "proud grannies" so bear with me.
If you would like to see his sweet little picture, go to:http://www.health-alliance.com/babycontrol.html and ask for Isaac and mother's name Melanie.
I will be home two days and then I may have to return (hehe) to my daughter's to help out as her husband returns to work.
I am missing the conversations, but Isaac is making up for it. Talk to you again soon.
Oh, Pat! Your grandson is ADORABLE!!
Many congratulations on this wonderful, blessed event. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif
Thank you so much. Of course, I think he is the greatest, but thank you for saying so!

Congratulations Pat! Goodness you have a handsome grandson! They even got a good picture of him. Both my kids has terrible hospital photos.
How far away is your daughter from you? I always wished my mom was closer. We got a couple of thousand miles closer a couple of years ago... but we are still about 500 miles apart. I so wish I could just pop in for dinner!
Enjoy that little guy and congratulations again.

Your grandson is adorable!! Congrats on this exciting occasion!
Thanks for your kind remarks! Kim Kelly, we are about 200 miles apart. Oh, how I wish we were much closer and I could babysit frequently. My mom was nearby when my children were small and it was so nice to drop them by so that I could run a few errands "quickly."
Mightyh, thanks for those kinds words about the meals. As a matter of fact, it seemed like I was cooking more than holding my grandson. But my other daughter and her husband came and stayed so I had to share with baby's aunt, uncle, grandfather, and of course his mother and father. It seemed like someone was holding him constantly. Suppose he was spoiled?

I won't even attempt a happy congratulations graphic (MamaSue does a fine job with those, after all!) -- but here's a small thought that you might find appropriate...
Many congratulations to you -- enjoy the blessing! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif
NEW BABY
Here I am world
I bring you gifts from the spirit
Joy to melt your heart
Laughter to touch your soul
Peace beyond belief
Happiness you never experienced
Love you never knew
Here I am world
Wrapped in star dust
Freshly kissed by angels
Innocent as a lamb
Trusting as a baby
Here I am world
Ready to learn
Anxious to grow
Excited to be here
You are my teachers
What will you have me learn?

Congratulations Pat! My mother feels the same way about her grandkids. One is nearby, but the other two are about 8 hours away in NC. They miss their grandma. When they get in trouble they tell my sister that they're going to call Grandma! And the fourth grandchild....well, she doesn't know about that one yet!
