Hi Everybody--
I need your help in the form of feedback. I was wondering if any of you have been through the "13 Great Thanksgiving Meals" story from our homepage. If so, I'd like to know what you think. Is it helpful? Will you refer to it when planning your meal? Does it offer something for everyone? I appreciate and welcome your comments and suggestions!
Thanks-
Stacey

I like the plan ahead part..telling you to defrost, empty fridge etc. I wont be using the menus, but only because I already know what I want to make. If I didnt have a game plan, though, I would use it!

Hi! I don't really have a pertinent comment re: the menus - My house is too small to host Thanksgiving meal, so we're off to the inlaws, but I did want to tell Stacey that's a great picture in the mag - You are so pretty and I'm liking the do, too! It's cool! Thumbs up to you and Mom!

Stacey-
I liked the idea of the different menus but unfortunately our turkey preparation does not vary from year to year. It is very hard to incorporate new dishes into our Thanksgiving meal. Thanksgiving is the one holiday that tradition rules. It is very hard to change our meal plan because everyone has their favorites and it wouldn't be Thanksgiving without them. Maybe its just my crazy family?
I like the Game Plan, Defrost, Cook, and Carve features though. I also liked last years issue with the different pies- we have more room to experiment in the dessert department.
Hope this helps!

I liked seeing different menus and would like to try some of the recipes, but it will probably be for Christmas, New Year's of a Sunday dinner since out Thanksgiving tends to be pretty traditional (and if you make anything out of the ordinary, you have to have the ordinary stuff too).

I loved the Game Plan, and I thought the menus had some great recipe ideas.

I shared the site with my co-worker, who is planning her first Thanksgiving dinner at her house with her in-laws. There will only be six people at her house, and she thinks your menus, shopping list, game plan, etc. is just the help she needs.

Thanks for asking. I love some of the recipes, but my feedback is generic to your web site. Is there a way to bundle the recipes you list for each of your featured articles so that we don't need to open each one and them print it? Could you point to a file that has all of the recipes, and when someone clicks on one they'll be directed to that file and the area in which the specific recipes resides?

I agree with Jeanne L--that was my thought exactly when I checked the site the first time. I think I would find it helpful, but for that design flaw.

Stacey,

I found the article very well laid out and informative-- something for everybody, I think. The game plan and carving instructions are very helpful, however, I'm wondering if perhaps touching on matters of unsafe food handling might have been prudent (i.e. how NOT to defrost a turkey and why, why it isn't a good idea to cut corners by stuffing the bird the night before, etc.)
Were I to be the one cooking Thanksgiving dinner this year, I would definitely use the planning ahead tips, since it's my custom to write up such things for myself for holiday meals. And even though I'll be a guest this year, rather than the cook, I'll still refer to your wine tips when deciding what to bring the hosts!

Hi Stacey!
I really liked some of the dishes suggested, such as the Dirty Rice stuffing, the cranberry syrup and most of the side dishes. The Thanksgiving wines article was great too, especially since I don't know enough about red wine. I was a little disappointed by the vegetarian menu. All of the dishes sounded very good, but my parents are vegetarian, and their Thanksgiving seems to be much more substantial. I hope this helps!

Stacey, I liked your picture with your mom, too! It's nice to see what you look like! I read the article and some of the dishes sounded very good. My mother or brother usually host in my family- or my in-laws when we have dinner with my husband's family- and we don't have the room for a sit down dinner anyway. This year, however, I will be helping my poor mother and bringing a side dish or two. I may have to peruse the recipes one more time. There were a couple that sounded very good and easy to me. I liked the desserts, too!
