After having three kids and taking care of everyone else I finally talked my husband into going to Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires. I am very excited and pulled out my copy of Canyon Ranch Cooking. My question is, does anyone have any favorite recipes from this book? I have made the banana bread which was good. Well, gotta run...screaming child! Gosh, I wish I were there now!!!! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/eek.gif

To be honest, I haven't been pleased with several of the recipes from this book http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/redface.gif , but I do like the rosemary-lemon halibut-- one of the best fish recipes I've ever made

Thanks, Emily. Which ones should I pass on?

I'll have to flip through my cookbook when I get home, but if I can recall, there were some potato pancakes that didn't turn out at all...I'll have to get back to you on the rest. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Emilycat, could you share the rosemary-lemon halibut? We haven't had fish in a while and I don't have this recipe. Wonder if it could go on the grill? TIA!

Susan L,
I actually posted it a few weeks ago; if you search the Great Food archive for lemon rosemary halibut, 3 should come up; fishy suggestions is the title of the thread. Let me know if you don't find it! Sorry, I would have cut and pasted it for you, but my computer is behaving oddly http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/rolleyes.gif
Kathy, I've whipped out my book, so here are the ones that I wasn't pleased with:
Artichoke bowls with shrimp in dill sauce
Crisp potato pancakes
I guess there weren't as many as I thought! Actually, I must admit that after looking through the book again, there were more than I few I'd like to try http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Emilycat, thanks! I don't remember that thread but the recipe looks delicious! I used to grow rosemary in the house but took it outdoors and lost it. However; sage plant is taking over the flowerbed, wish I had more recipes for sage! Thanks, I now know what we will be having for dinner tomorrow night!! Love this website!

Are you referring to the Great Tastes of Canyon Ranch? I picked that one up at the Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires last year. I would love to be there now.
If so, some of my favorites have been the gingerbread pancakes, the vegetable frittata, and zucchini bread. Now that you mentioned it, there are lots more in there that I really wanted to try.
