My sage plant is taking over my flowerbed! Besides drying it and giving it away, what can I do with it? I have roasted chickens with sage under the skin too many times. White bean soup is always delicious with lots of fresh sage but... just like the chicken, it goes so far and the troops revolt!

Susan - There was a discussion about this very issue over the summer. Try this link, as there are some really good ideas already posted.

Hi Susan
Now that you mentioned sage I was starring at all this sage. Lorilei posted a sage pesto a while back (try search) also you can dry it (using any method -tie and place hanging upside down, do the refrigerator no disturb method a dryer or freezer).
I dried a lot of mine since I started sneezing etc I think the powerful smell was making me sick. I packed a lot and gave it away after drying some.

Thank you Lorilei and Vanessa! The dehydrator really makes me sneeze when I do fresh herbs, too. I think I will freeze some, air dry, and give away. I don't think I can burn it as the Native Americans did! How about using dried sage as packing chips just as Pensey's uses bay leaves? A thought!
