OK Kim-
I spoke with someone here about your they are currently checking with retailers in Houston. Every major retailer including Borders, Wal-Mart, Target, etc. should have issues in stores now. Major supermarkets should also have available copies. I will relay whatever information I get to you ASAP, but in the meantime, I picked a Randall's store at random from their Houston website listing and found several issues available. The store I called is located at 1302 Blalock. I hope this isn't far from you, but if it is, you may want to call a Randall's nearby until I can provide you with a better listing...
Hope this helps and I'm sorry for any inconvenience ):
Stacey

Stacey, you are a peach! (Food imagery again.) It's wonderful of you to help out like this and to pop in and out with friendly words and helpful hints. We love you and the board, and this kind of personal relationship with readers really builds brand loyalty to a magazine. Tell your boss we've said so, and then ask for a raise! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

Thanks for your help.
As of last Saturday, it couldnt be found at Target, Superstand or Kroger. I just called the Randalls near me (unfortuneately not the one you mentioned) and they dont have it. If you could find one, I would be very greatful! It has almost become a life mission by now!!

Just echoing Phoebe's wise words - this thread is yet more proof of how amazing you guys are. I enjoy the magazine much more than I would otherwise because I know how approachable and helpful its staff are. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif
Hey Kim - maybe I could fax the supplement to you? http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif
Cheers,
Natasha

Kim, I bought one at Kroger in The Woodlands. I have to do that milk and essentials run, so I'll look and see if they still have it. If so, I'll pick one up for you.

Stacey (and those who also replyed)
Thanx for the help! I agree, you guys are the best and you, Stacy, deserve a raise.
I called the store on Blaylok, and discovered that on the interstate, I could be there in 25 min and since I have been cooped up at home for 4 days w/ bronchitis, it seemed a good excuse to get out of the house. Well, it is now in my hand.
Thanx ever so much!

pvavricka -
Making It Ahead is a Cooking Light supplement available in stores (unfortunately, it's not available in as many stores as the readers would like http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif ). It contains Cooking Light Recipes, both new and old (i.e. recipes that have previously appeared in Cooking Light). These are recipes which you can make ahead and store either in the freezer or the refrigerator.
Does this answer your question? Please don't think you are being ignorant! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

I live in Austin, Tx and couldn't find it either. But my mother, who lives in a tiny town an hour away, was able to find it at her grocery store. Thank goodness she brought me a copy!

Kim--
So glad you found it and I hope it was worth the drive http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif
Everybody--
For those of you who are still looking and are unable to find it over the weekend at a Wal-Mart, Borders, etc.PLEASE let me know!! As it turns out, my inquiry to our circulation department yesterday launched an investigation that uncovered a secret plot....just kidding, but we did find that there were some particular stores that--unbeknownst to us--did not have issues available. The old adage is true--We can't fix it if we don't know it's broken!! I hope you all find it, but I'll be here if you don't. Happy Hunting!!

I live in South Lake Tahoe, CA and have not been able to find the Make It Ahead either. I also went to Carson City, NV last weekend and couldn't find it there either. (Walmart and Target store). I am waiting patiently hoping it will come here soon!

I live in the Seattle area, and there seems to be plenty of copies available here. I bought my copy last night at a local grocery store (found it on the bottom shelf, hidden behind other magazines), but there were 8 or 9 copies there.
This morning, there were plenty of copies at yet another store where I buy my morning coffee.
