I feel like such a bum! I wanna get outside and do something but every time I step outside the door my allergies get so bad! So I'm stuck inside  . I hate this time of year! Oh well, at least I can play around on the BB (and try to conquer Jak and Daxter on the PS2).

So sorry to hear about your allergies....
I just developed them 3 years ago and HATE them too. I missed the Birch trees this year (trip out west)...yipiiieee!!!
Have you tried the stuff like Nasalcrom? I think I mentioned it in another post...no side effects (jittery, racing heart) because it just fills the nasal receptors.
I hate summer and sun so I stay indoors even when I have no allergies   Wish I could take your allergies for you .....
Hang in there...what are you allergic too?

I have adult onset allergies too. How about getting a subscription for Allegra? Works for me.
Disclaimer: The company is not paying me to promote their product.:p

I'm on zyrtec and rhinocort, not to mention that I'm taking allergy shots and the occasional round of prednisone (steroid therapy). Sadly, the zyrtec and rhinocort work better for me than anything I've tried (claritin, claritinD, allegra, allegraD). Benedryl really works but puts me out. Oh well, at least I have an excuse for staying out of the hot Southern sun.
Hey, it beats my allergies as a baby (disposable diapers and formula and my mother's milk!). I had a friend who was allergic to her own hair! Now that's weird. Anyway, they'll be better in a month or so.

Have you considered allergy shots? I've been on them for a year and a half and they have really worked wonders. I'm horrifically allergic to dust (who knew?) and cats, and fairly allergic to dogs, most tree and grass pollens, etc. For several years I took decongestants every day. When my ENT scheduled me for sinus surgery he advised that I see an allergist so that I could avoid future operations; so far, so good! I only take antihistamines if I've been around a cat.

Yep, stephania, taking allergy shots for 9 months, no change or improvements yet. Unfortunately, I'm horribly allergic to dust and fescue (well, lots more than that but that's what's around right now) so there's no way to avoid it. Blech. I need to live a plastic bubble!

One last thought...I watched this on ABC news tonight with peter jennings. In Europe, instead of shots they are using drops, under the tongue. They claim to have dramatic results...cheaper and less painful too....you may want to check out the abcnews.com website and see if it's posted in there somewhere under their health link.
It's a thought.
Again, so sorry you are feeling so yucky. My first time around I wasn't sure whether I felt more mad that my body betrayed me and I couldn't come and go or that I just felt run down and yucky. You feel so helpless not being able to SEE the offenders.....anyhow, hope the season passes soon and you are less miserable.
