My SO needs to order some flowers for his mother's b-day, which is tomorrow. What sites have you used? I've already checked out marthastewart.com and hallmark.com.
Thanks for your help.

I've always used www.ftd.com without any problems. I don't know how their prices compare, but delivery has been fine.

Sounds like proflowers.com does a great job.

One idea is to call a local flower shop in the town where your SO's mother lives. I have done this with good results. Take a look at the following thread, http://community.cookinglight.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23621&highlight=flowers.

I recently sent some using proflowers.com. I was told they were beautiful and the recipient was delighted.

Another vote for pro-flowers.com! They arrive straight from the grower, and I have been told by my recipients that they last up to 2 weeks!!! I have never had a complaint, they give great service, and have always delivered on time and exactly what was promised. I have used them 5 times, and have never been disappointed.
Hope this helps!

Definitely proflowers.com!!! I use them all the time with great results. I have to be honest and say they did mess up an order for one of my co-workers once (I recommended them) and they handled the situation beautifully in order to make everyone happy. My co-worker still thinks it was her bad luck that caused the error. Personally, I have never had a problem, I find their prices are very reasonable and the flowers are always beautiful.

They did a wonderful job (according to the recipients) on mother's day and birthday bouquets. They also have unique and special arrangements- I sent my mom a bunch of cala lilies (her favorite). I haven't seen these on many other sites, if any.

Thanks everyone,
I ended up going with a local florist. I remembered that SO's mom loves this little downtown place that does unique arrangements. They have all sorts of unusual stuff in house this week, so the arrangement should look great.

Jen, I know you already chose a florist, but if you ever need another one, we love calyxandcorolla.com --they can be a bit pricey, but they have some really cool stuff. You gotta check out the gingham orchid. Waaaay expensive but soooooo cool.
