Bird ID software - any faves?

ISO a CD I can carry in the field to help identify birds. I got one when they first came out (think it is Peterson) and am disappointed with it...not really that useful. Can anybody recommend one?

I got this for my DH as a Christmas gift a year ago & he loves it, however it is on our home computer & not the laptop. I don't know how much memory it needs, but can look more info up if you'd like. It has pics, sounds, videos & maps and a CDRom is required.

I saw this nifty device at a bird store last month. It is hand held like a palm pilot and displays bird info as well as plays the song or call. You can get different sets of cartridges for it too. If you want me to call and find out its official name I will. Let me know.
