Awhile ago I bought the Weight Watchers "New Complete Cookbook", and it has proved to be the best cookbook I have ever bought.

I have tried at least 10 recipes and all were pretty much great. I really like the fact that the majority of the recipes are 2-4 servings.

Another book I really like is 500 Fat-Free Recipes by Sarah Schlesinger. Her recipes are creative and very flavorful. ( I borrowed 2 of her other books from the library and tried a few recipes, and they were consistent in quality.)

The next time you are at your library check these out !!!

Well, since we are recommending, Id like to recommend 2. Neither are low fat per se, but we all know how to substitute and make them that way.

California Pizza Kitchen cokbook...makes awesome pizza

Nuevo Tex Mex by Garrido and Walsh. It is probably my favorite after CL. If you like Mex/Tex Mex, this is very authentic (even a recipe for authentic margaritas!!!!))

Anyone know of any really good cookie cookbook out there? I have to get a friend a gift and she really enjoys cookie books. THanks!

Nick Malgieri has a book called Cookies Unlimited. I don't have it but it is on my wish list! I would think that it would be a safe bet.

Chefandi,
One of my favorite cookie cookbooks is the Mrs. Fields Cookie Book. There are 100 recipes, each with a picture, including bar, drop, filled cookies, etc.

Just thought I'd put in my two cents.
I love all of Mollie Katzen's books, but I think the Moosewood Cookbook is my favorite; I also really love Karen Lee's The Occasional Vegetarian (my favorite of the moment http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif ), and the Moosewood Restaurant Cookbook.

Chefandi-If you have a Sam's Club nearby, they have at least 10 Cookie Cookbooks that looked fabulous! And they were reduced price. Like everyone else, I have too many cookbooks and I didn't buy any of the cookie cookbooks but they looked great, with pictures!
