OK, it seems that we've all gone a little poll happy this week, so I decided to post one that another member alluded to in a previous thread/poll:

Are you child type A, who when you eat cereal or soup you absolutely drown the crackers or cereal in liquid? Or are you child type B, who when you eat cereal or soup you use so little liquid that you practically have a bowl of pudding? (That's what I do)

I'm the one that doesn't put anything in my soup--except the spoon :D ;)

I didn't vote since I usually have milk left over when I finish my cereal (and I drink the leftover milk), and I never put anything in soup except popcorn in tomato soup (comfort food from childhood), or tortilla chips in tortilla soup (natch—comfort food from adulthood). :D

I voted A, but it really only applies to cereal. I have to have leftover milk after the cereal is gone, so I pour in enough to cover the cereal and make it float. But when it comes to most foods, I don't like to mix stuff; foods touching other foods really bothers me.

Oh no...I need another option. I like crackers in my soup...but only enough to add a tiny bit of crunch at the beginning (like chow mein noodles in Chinese soup). I like cereal in milk...but I'm pretty happy with cereal right out of the box. :D

I'm just confused...

would you believe there was a whole thread on the "cereal to milk" ratio about a year ago?

the question came up - do youu drown your cereal in milk (low cereal to milk ratio) or do you like to have mostly cereal with just a touch of milk (high cereal to milk ratio).

I voted for B. I like a high cereal to milk ratio.

I don't think the soup question necessarily has anything to do with the cereal question. I mean, I don't think there is a correlation between the two. You could be type a for soup and type b for cereal or vice versa.

Well, doesn't that just figure...?

Cereal: Gotta have enough milk to cover everything -- just barely.

Soup, Chili, etc.: Crunch up those crackers! I love having "too many" crackers in there! The exception only comes when it's amazing soup ... mmmmmmm, lobster bisque ....

I couldn't vote either.
Cereal/milk: I like them to come out just about even. I'd prefer to have a little milk left over at the end rather than cereal.

Soup/crackers: Crackers never get anywhere near my soup, thank you.

cereal/milk - mostly cereal, please.

crackers/soup - i never really serve crackers with soup, although i do like it that way sometimes. but then, i usually like to eat some of the soup with a high concentration of crushed crackers, but i like some soup plain... :o

I didn't vote because I don't fit into any of the categories --

I like the tiniest bit of milk in my cereal -- enough to make everything wet and have a little bit left over.

I eat crackers WITH my soup, but not IN it.

My DH is exactly the opposite...loves the leftover milk, so he can drink it, but his bowl of soup always turns out like gummy oatmeal. YUCK!

I like JUST enough milk with my cereal to have a very tiny bit left over at the end...(I also love when I eat Cheerios and you sprinkle on some sugar it all falls to the bottom and you scrape it up at the end with the little bit of milk ...and maybe a couple cheerios as well lol)

As for soup...I do like crackers in my soup, but in fairly big pieces...and not so its stew like;)
