Well it's been so long since I've been to these boards (I got busy at work) but when I realized I needed to plan a shower for my girlfriend (I'm the Matron of Honor) this is the first place I came for help.

I am having 17 or so women to my house in July for a wedding shower lunch. I am looking for ideas for a menu. I'm looking for things I can make ahead of time and either freeze and reheat or refridgerate and then bring to room temp or serve cold.

We'll be eating outside. I saw a prepared menu that CL sent me in their weekly newsletter, but it didn't do much for me.

Can you help?

Thanks,
Dena.

I like the brunch style ones I've been to. Maybe a quiche or 2, a chicken salad, fruit and a cake for dessert.

The basil, shrimp, pasta salad from CL is very good. I made that, quiche,, spinach salad, and other things for a baby shower. The pasta salad is a make ahead . Hope this helps. Vicky

How about a selection of little tea sandwiches? I co-hosted a bridal shower several years ago, and this was a big hit. Can't remember what else we served but I made an absolutely decadent cheesecake for dessert.
