The Beatle's song poll made me wonder if anyone had a favorite Beatle. Plus, I have been trying to think of a poll to post, so here is the perfect opportunity! :)
My favorite Beatle is Paul. I always tell DH that if he came knocking at the door wanting to marry me, I would just have to tell DH goodbye.

George- the quiet Beatle. There was "something in the way" he sang, wrote, and played (especially the sitar).

No fair! I need to vote for two of them. I've ALWAYS thought Paul was the cutest...and just love the way that even though he's somewhere around 60, he still seems to have such a "boyish" look about him. His smile always seems so genuine to me.
As far as talent...I'm going to have to go with George. The man was amazing.
And LaraW...I wonder if you had the same thoughts that I did over all these years. He was with Linda forever! After she died I thought (teasingly!!!!) that now was my chance!! Darn, but didn't he hook up with this Heather-chick SOOO fast!!!!! Oh well...congratulations to them.

Well, I think Paul is at least 20 years older than me, but I would still marry him (if he just showed up at my door asking me to marry him). I saw pictures of girls crying when he married Linda and I thought it was funny. I certainly wasn't crying, but I thought I probably missed my chance. Oh well, Prince Edward got married too, and I was hoping for a shot at that. ;) DH tells me I should go after Prince William, but I'm about 10 years older than him!!!
I guess DH will just have to do :p

Definately John... Not the best looking, but he stole my heart. I cried the day he was killed. (Not as hard as I cried when Elvis died!!) It was like the end of an era. The loss of innocence. Sign... His death also ended the question of whether they would get back together for a reunion album or concert. Very Sad!

P.S. Enough!! I must sign off and start packing for Seattle!!:p

The voice, the eyes, the wit, the brilliant musical talent, the optimistic outlook on life...gotta love Paul. Plus, he is a hopeless romantic. He and Linda truly had a wonderful love story, and he didn't start dating Heather until at least a year after Linda died which I think is a respectful amount of time. John was certainly an intruiging and brilliant man, too. But, if I met up with both of them in a bar and had to choose one to send a drink to, it would be Paul.

Anyone who could star in a silly movie like Cave Man gets points in my book.
Also, he was the peacemaker and he was the one to get them all back together and talking.
Maybe he was the least talented and the goofiest, but you gotta love him!

Paul, no doubt. Saw him in Atlanta on Mother's Day and he was just fabulous!

Used to be John but lately I've swung over to the Paul camp. I actually think I like Paul's songs better. But I really like John too and I think George was the best looking of the four. Also, I love George's songs with the Beatles, and what I've heard of his first solo album after the Beatles I really like (can't remember the name right now). But I really didn't like his later stuff. In general, I don't think any of them were as good individually as they were as a group.

It's always been Paul. I had a bad moment when he started dating a woman younger than one of his children; but now I figure, he deserves happiness however he finds it. He seems like SUCH a good guy!
My vote has to go to John. I think Paul has a clearer, more resonant, more "beautiful" voice, but John had a much more intriguing personality -- he had so much to say about the world we live in, both on a personal and political level, and it just tears me up that we lost his voice way too early. I think his songs are a lot more compelling than Paul's -- especially, of course, the post-Beatles stuff.
This is not to put Paul down -- when I was a kid, I always thought he was the "cute" Beatle, of course. (When Paul and Linda got married, I remember my neighbor -- who was about 12 at the time -- telling me that she wished her name were Linda, because then maybe Paul would have married her! :D ) And George was such a beautiful soul, with that almost-mystical voice.
I saw Ringo a few years ago, at one of his All-Starr Band tours -- and he was just a doll. He's really a true entertainer, in the tradition of the old English music halls -- he sings, tells jokes, introduces the other acts, and just keeps things moving along for a really entertaining evening.

I have to ditto everything Helene says. When I was a kid, I liked Paul. He was cuter and seemed more fun. Now that I'm an adult, I've switched over to John.
