I just tried a recipe from this site:

Buttermilk Fudge Ice Cream
I wasn't planning on making this, but I had buttermilk and whole milk around the house and I was bored. The ice cream is pretty good for something that took about 2 seconds to throw together and it's very low fat. The texture is like ice milk -- icy, but not in a grainy, unpleasant way. As for the taste, it is very tangy....almost like a chocolate cheesecake flavor. If you don't want to go to the site, here's the recipe.
Buttermilk Fudge Ice Cream
3/4 c Sugar
1/3 c Cocoa, unsweetened
3/4 c Milk
2 2/3 c Buttermilk
1/2 ts Vanilla
In saucepan, combine sugar and nonsweetened cocoa; add milk and heat. Stir until sugar dissolves. Cool. Beat smooth buttermilk and vanilla. Combine with chocolate milk. Chill and stir freeze.
Note: This recipe is for a 1-quart machine. Double or triple ingredients if needed for your machine.
