Not hot at all. Current temp - 79 degrees with a wonderful breeze, so it feels like it's only 77. This is why I live here.:)

I always LOVE that! Also, "it's not the heat, it's the HUMIDITY!"

We have a pool too - so I never complain about the heat because I'm always just floating in the pool. Hard to get hot when you are submerged in water!

88 sizzlin' degrees in Milwaukee with a dew point of 62 degrees. It's like a sauna outside. Either I've gotten used to it, or it is a little less sticky than it was over the weekend. We're supposed to return to more "normal" June temperatures by the end of the week.

Hot and humid in NW In. It's probably 90. I had to come in because the sweat was blinding me. However, I will take this over the temps we had in early June; rain, lows of 48 and highs of 60. Brrr. Vicky

A lovely 98º here in central Texas but the humidity is also about 75%! Of course it's been this way for a month and will be for about 3 more, which is why I stay inside except for early morening and late evening!

AZAnne....I am one of those whackos that actually doesn't mind the heat. I was working out in my backyard around noon today. I still exercise outside almost all summer long.

The thermometer looks to be just a hint below 95. I just came in from working in the yard. My second round of sweating for the day! From the looks I was receiving from the group of guys working on the road out front as I was tending my flower bed, I must be pretty darn hot as well! ;)

Like Lorena I enjoy the heat. For me, the worst part about summer is grocery shopping and eating out.... I hate how cold the stores and restaurants feel with the air conditioner cranked up. Gina

65 and breezy today, with a clear blue sky.
I was going to take the dog to the beach but it looks like it's socked in out there, so I guess we'll go to the park instead.

It's only supposed to be in the upper 80's here today, although it felt warmer than that this morning when I was walking the dog.

For those of you who would really like to feel miserable, the Accuweather site (http://www1.accuweather.com/adcbin/index.asp?partner=accuweather) also offers a RealFeel index as well. Here is part of their blurb. The AccuWeather.com 15-day forecast includes AccuWeather's exclusive RealFeel Temperature(tm) and the UV Index for each day. You will also have quick access to pollen counts, sunrise and sunset times, local school cancellations, streaming video forecasts, and more.

Report Names 'Sweatiest' U.S. City

June 21, 2002 10:17 am EST

CHICAGO (Reuters) - Every year there's a new one: Most livable U.S. city, friendliest city, town with the best manners. Now comes the first annual sweatiest city award. Top honors go to San Antonio, Texas.

On a typical summer day, San Antonio residents lose more than 1 liter of perspiration per hour during exercise such as walking, the announcement said.

Dallas-Ft. Worth, New Orleans, Houston, and West Palm Beach, Florida, fleshed out the top five sweatiest cities.

The list was released on Thursday by Procter & Gamble's Old Spice Red Zone deodorant, apparently in a sweat to produce some first-day-of-summer publicity.

It was based, the announcement said, on the average high temperature and humidity during June, July, and August in the 50 cities reviewed. Based on this, the company estimated the sweat produced by walking one hour each day.

"Although some view sweat as embarrassing, it is necessary to keep the body cool," said Mark Davis, described as a perspiration expert for Old Spice, which said it is sending the mayor of San Antonio a case of its Red Zone.

The five least sweaty cities were in order: Barrow, Alaska, San Francisco, Seattle, San Diego, and Los Angeles.

One liter of sweat in an hour? Can that be true? At that rate you'd need to carry a bottle of water with you to pick up your paper at the end of the driveway! Wow.

I'd believe it. But to be honest, I can't imagine anyone actually spends that kind of time outside. It really *is* just going to the end of the driveway to get the mail and the paper, then right back inside where it's nice and cool!
