Garage Sales!!!!

Does anyone else love garage sales like me? I wish I could go to more of them, but right now my kids aren't very agreeable. We go to one or 2 and my 4 year old is going "mooommmmm....can we go now?".:rolleyes: Today our neighbors are having one and I found a Columbia winter coat in perfect condition and about 8 pairs of leggings, a shirt and a pair of shorts for my DD all for $11! Yeah!:D Plus, the coat is yellow and navy so DS will be able to wear it, too.

I also love them, but can't seem to motivate myself to get up in time to get the good stuff! I love looking for books at garage sales. I've gotten some pretty good bargains on coats, too, just like you did today. Gotta love 'em! :)

OK, Chrisi, you've inspired me. DH and I are always saying that we need to start checking out garage sales, but we never get around to it. So tomorrow, after my early morning bike ride, I'm going to go check out one or two. I'm pretty much a garage sale virgin, so I hope I don't get taken for a ride!:D

I love garage sales--I just never go to them. I can never get moving fast enough in the mornings. A couple of weeks ago, I forced myself to get out there (I was looking for something specific) and found a great barely used crib from The Baby's Room (USA Baby), crib mattress and mattress pad for only $75. Woo hoo! They wanted to throw in the bedding, but I already have a lot of it, so I told them to sell it to somebody else. When I'm on maternity leave, I plan on checking out all of the sales that start on Friday for cheap baby finds.

Oh, I love them too. This week I found a king flat flannel sheet (blue) for $1.00. Last week I found a large FoodSaver cannister for $1.00. My SIL and I go every Friday and sometimes Saturday. I don't really care how small the find is. If I have need for it, I'm thrilled.
