quick!-question about jalapeno corn bread

i want to make the jalapeno corn bread w/ dinner tonight, but i want to leave out the cumin and jalapenos - the mexican twist doesn't go with the soup i made. any thoughts?

it should still be good....add bell pepper if that's a better match, or diced tomatoes or nothing at all!! It's hard to say on spices since I don't know what you're making, but traditional cornbread doesn't have any, so if you don't use any it'll be fine.

I made it without the jalapenos because we don't like things too hot. I added diced green chilies instead. I'm sure it would be fine without either of those ingredients.
