I was thinking about getting that for DD for her birthday, and I was wondering if any of you have any feedback about it.
Thanks!
Chrisi:)

Hi Chrissi!
We bought one for our niece for Christmas-- she loves it, although she's just a bit young for it. I've seen several kids with them at restaurants, etc. and they seem to really like them!

Hey Chrisi,
We keep bumping into each other! DD had a Leap Pad that she passed down to DS. They both love it! The great thing is that new books keep being added so the kids stay interested. Everything from Leap Frog seems to be great so far.

Thanks, you guys.:) I think we'll get that for her this year. Of course, at the rate she's going today, she won't be getting any presents!

We purchased Leap Pad for our DD this past X-mas. She loves as does our DS. We have several of the books and have had only a few problems. DS was a little rough with one of the books and has torn some of the pages a little-this can affect performance. He also chewed on the crod that attaches the pen to the book and we needed a replacement. The rep. I spoke to on the phone was wonderful and we got the new pen in about a week. I like that the book has a volume contro and can be used with headphones. It's a good activity to do with your child or if you need a little break they can play on thier own.

Have it? It's my job. Well, that's an overstatement, but I am a freelance writer and editor in educational publishing, and one of the things I'm working on right now is Leap Frog. I've been editing materials that allow teachers to use the Leap Frog products (Leap Pad, Leap Desk, and Leap Mat) along with their reading and language arts programs in the classroom. Anyway, I think they're good materials, although I know some parents who use them INSTEAD of reading with their kids, and for that they are a poor substitute!
