I want to make this recipe tonight. Has anyone tried it? What do you serve it with?? Would it be okay with rice. Thanks

I've made it and it was good with rice. It's a repeater for us. Also good with a green veggie such as broccoli.

Oh my gosh, what issue was this in? I'm not sure I have it; does anyone who has mastercook have the recipe who could post it easily?
Thanks so much!

Here's the recipe. It's delicious!

Greek Chicken with Capers and Raisins in Feta Sauce
Serving Size : 4
4 4-ounce skinned and boned chicken breast halves
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 cup thinly sliced onion
3 cloves garlic -- minced
1 1/2 cups fat-free, less sodium chicken broth
1/3 cup golden raisins
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons capers
1/4 cup (1 ounce) crumbled feta cheese
4 thin lemon slices
Place each chicken breast half between 2 sheets of heavy-duty plastic wrap; flatten to 1/4-inch thickness using a meat mallet or rolling pin. Combine flour and oregano in a shallow dish; dredge chicken in flour mixture.
Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook 5 minutes on each side. Remove chicken from pan; keep warm. Add onion and garlic to pan; saute 2 minutes. Stir in broth, raisins, and lemon juice; cook 3 minutes, scraping pan to loosen browned bits. Return chicken to pan. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until chicken is done. Remove chicken from pan; keep warm. Add capers and cheese to pan, stirring with a whisk; top each chicken breast with 1/4 cup sauce and 1 lemon slice.

I made this tonight - it was fabulous. It is defintely a repeater for us. Very easy and delicious!
Geeze Louise! Where was this when I asked for caper recipes???? I can't wait to try this and I am still on a caper binge, does that mean something? Why would one want capers so much?

I know this is a "very, very" old thread, but we had this recipe tonight. We have never made this before, but it was absolutely wonderful. we served it with orzo tossed with oregano, and freshly steamed asparagus. This is sooo good!! I would definitley recommend this, and I would definitley make this again.:)

I love this recipe and I don't think I've ever posted a review. To all my in-laws I'm sure it sounds disgusting, but capers, golden raisins, and feta cheese together make me drool!:D I can't remember right off hand, but I'm sure I add a little sugar to it.

Can I just say how yummy this is? I would never have considered trying it without the great reviews. It sounds kind of strange and not appetizing. WRONG. It is one of the best CL chicken recipes I have tried.
I have found that in many recipes that call for capers, the capers somehow get lost among the ingredients. Not here, though. Their flavor shines through and works incredibly well with the raisins. And the feta brings the whole dish together, making a flavorful sauce that drenches the onion, garlic, and chicken mixture. I didn't think 1/4 cup would be nearly enough feta, but it was plenty!
This is a definite repeater. Thanks for resurrecting this thread and recommending the recipe, Tara!!!
p.s. I followed the recipe except for the following changes: I used regular (not golden) raisins, I only used 1 cup of broth (plenty), and I used pre flattened chicken cutlets, so they cooked quicker.

I made this recipe this week too, and agree, it's delicious. A definate repeater. My only change was to use herbed goat cheese in place of the feta, but other than that, I followed it to a T.

had to report back after DH tried it. he loved it. (but I had to pick the raisins out before serving it, otherwise he wouldn't have touched it.)
the sauce is really great. definitely serve this with rice to soak up the extra sauce.

I made the Greek Chicken with Capers and Raisins in Feta Sauce for supper tonight. Boy was it good! A definite repeater for me. The taste reminds me of chicken piccata but a little different. Very delicious and easy.
Thanks for posting the recipe.

I, too, thought this sounded weird, but I was pleasantly suprised when someone made it for our supper club. It is wonderful!! I don't usually like chicken much, but it was really tasty and moist here.
Also, I believe that it has tons of great reviews on the recipe finder.
