YUM!!

I won't say it was a knock your socks off recipe, but only because there are similar recipes out there. HOWEVER, I will say that of this type of recipe, this one is right up there with the best. The flavor is just so much better with the longer marinating time and I loved the sweet bite to the marinade as well. I halved the recipe and now I wish I didn't because the noodle salad would probably be a great pr up for the second night meal.

DH and I both gave it 9 out of 10..him for flavor, me for flavor along with simple preparation and speediness for the weekday.

4 pts per chop.

We tried it as well and thought it was very good (our second highest rating). I would definitely recommend it!:)

Thanks for the reviews!!! I looked at this recipe over the weekend and thought about making it, but it just didn't sound too exciting. However, due to the stellar reviews, I think I might have to try it! :D

I just tried this tonight, and I would have to agree with all the others! I thought it was excellent and perfect for a quick weeknight dinner. For those of you who don't have much time to cook, put this on your to-try list!

I must have done something wrong, because neither my husband nor I particulary liked this recipe. I'm guessing it was because I did not have any lite soy sauce on hand, so the salt from the soy sauce really overpowered the hoisin sauce. I'm glad others enjoyed it, though :)

I marinated the chops overnight (okay, actually 2 nights, since plans didn't quite work out), and finally simply threw them on the George Foreman. YUM. :) Super easy.

Made this tonight and all I can say is YUMMY!!!!!

This was really good. Both DH and I liked it alot, probably because it is really reminisent of Moo SHu pork which we both LOVE as well.

THis will be a good sub for the Moo shu when our diets just can't support the real thing.

Has anyone made these and not grilled them? With it starting to get cold out, I'm not going to be able to grill them. I was thinking of just broiling them...thoughts? Any other reviews of this recipe?

Re: not grilling them -- I generally use my grill pan on the stove to cook these. I'm pretty sure I've also run them under the broiler. This is now my default pork marinade, so I've made these a bunch. Keep an eye on them so that the honey in the marinade doesn't burn.

I thought these had a great flavor, just enough seasoning with a bit of heat, great sweet & spicy combo. I broiled them, and I fell victim to the honey and/or pork fat fire. Ooops! Luckily I kept an eye on them and caught it right away. I had forgotten about this recipe, I will have to put it on my list to make again.

I just saw this recipe in my new Cooking Light Simple Suppers (magazine).

I used my HI Broil setting. I used the grill pan sprayed with cooking spray. They took about 5 minutes on each side. (I left the door to my oven closed instead of the recommended "leave the door cracked when broiling") They got nice and carmalized on the edges.

I really enjoyed these pork-chops. There are a lot of marinade recipes out there with soy sauce and honey but I thought the red pepper and hoisin sauce added a little pizzaz to the chops.

They turned out very moist from the oven.

I served them with the recommended Menu item:

Sesame and soy-glazed noodles

Heat 1 Tablespoon dark sesame oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add 3 cups hot cooked vermicelli, tossing gently (I used Soba Noodles). Add 1/2 cup sliced green onions and 1 teaspoon grated peeled fresh ginger; saute 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in 2 Tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce.

I thought these were AWESOME!!! I marinated about 24 hours. They were incredibly juicy and flavorful. I would say a 10!
