I made some shredded barbecued chicken for the sandwiches from the CL April 02 issue. I wanted to make the chicken penne green bean salad from CL Aug. 02 with the leftover shredded chicken, but I think it might be a little too chili powder/barbecue-ish for that dish. Does anyone know how to "unflavor" leftover chicken? Or is this a lost cause?

My puppy can't eat spicy foods, so I always rinse the chicken under warm water:p

pbchips,
we loved that Pulled BBQ Chicken with Marinated Cukes. and it was so easy!
what did you think of it? I am thinking you didn't like it since you aren't interested in the leftovers.

I actually DID like the recipe! And I loved how the cucumbers were cool and refreshing... kind of like lettuce! I agree...Very easy, too.
The reason I have leftover is that I doubled the recipe since I was just using up a lot of frozen chicken. And, of course, wasn't concerned about the flavors of the next day's dish at the time!
