I don't own one but had the opportunity to use one last week. It is now on the top of my Christmas list. I don't know the brand I used but my bread machine is Welbuilt and I love it! Hope someone with more knowledge answers your thread but that's my 2 cents worth!

I don't actually own one, but my Mom has a Nesco one. We use it for all the family get togethers and it works really well. We haven't done much other than ham and turkey in it. Mom has had it for over 20 years and it still works great.

I have a Nesco cooker. you can fit two turkeys in it. I only have one oven so when the holidays come around I use the nesco as a second oven. I love it. You can cook bread, meat, casseroles, cakes. anything!!!

I've heard nothing but wonderful things about NESCO roasters -- they work well, last for years and seem to fit the biggest turkies.
I'm waiting for one myself http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

I have the Nesco brand and think it's the best! I've roasted turkeys, and even steamed homemade tamales in it. I think once you get one you'll love it! I especially like it in the summer, when I use it and just plug it in the garage so my house stays cool. I would recommend it!

I have two NESCO's and love them. I frequently use my 6 qt. one which is big enough for the two and sometimes three of us. Hubby bought me the 18 qt. for Christmas last year and I have used it once. It is great for roasting in big quantities, such as large turkey. What I love about the NESCO is that I can either slow cook or roast like I would in place of the oven.

I am considering buying one of those 18 qt roaster ovens. I was wondering if any of you have one and what you think of it. If so, what brands do you own/recommend. Likes? Dislikes? There is one on sale here now. The brand is Welbilt.

Thank you all for your comments. I am sure I will have to have one. My kitchen is very small and it's difficult cooking for too many. You've helped me make up my mind. I got a rain check for it because they were out. The store person said last time they had them on sale, no one bought any. This time they bought them all.
