I didnt have enough dough for 12 mini muffin holes, let alone 24. I just made it into a pie....a bit different texture, but interesting (and I'll eat a pecan in anything!)

You do end up with a very thin crust, but I just form all 24 balls BEFORE pressing into the muffin tin and have not had a problem. Sometimes I get frustrated trying to get the dough spread out and have to utter a few choice words http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif , but I get all 24. The only reason I struggle with it at all is to keep them light. I also think it helps to let the dough rest a bit before forming into the muffin cups - the dough gets a bit moister and easier to manipulate.

i had 23 not too thin crusts...the way i did it was i rolled the dough into log form and cut 24 even pieces. the last piece was too small, but other than that it worked well.
