View Full Version : Cider on a cold day...mmm!

Hi. Since its a chilly day in most states thought some would enjoy this.....
Warm Spiced Cider(8 servings)
8 cups apple cider
1/4 cup sugar
1 medium orange, thinly sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced
1 lime, thinly sliced
2 3 inch cinnamon sticks
12 whole allspice berries
8 whole cloves
Orange slices (optional)
Cinnamon sticks (optional)
1. In a 3-quart saucepan, combine all indredients. Simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, 25 minutes; do not boil. Strain mixture and discad solids. Divide among serving mugs. Granish with orange and cinnamon, if desired; serve.
Nutrition information per serving — protein: .4 g; fat: .3 g; carbohydrate: 39 g; fiber: 1 g; sodium: 7 mg; cholesterol: 0 mg; calories: 152.
