I would like to try these cookies and freeze them for X-mas, but they have a glaze on top with grated lemon rind decorations. I'm wondering if I could freeze these complete, or glaze them later when ready to serve. I try to keep things easy and having to finish them at a later date gets putzy. What do you think?
Thanks

i freeze christmas cookies every year with the frosting on - we actually like to eat them semi-frozen. so i would assume it would be fine to freeze the lemon drop cookies frosted. maybe you could grate the lemon rind last minute - i think it might fall off when freezes.

I do the opposite of jjf...I freeze the cookies and frost after defrosting. This is the way I have been doing it for years. Freezing them frosting may work but I never tried it since I have had no problems frosting after.

OK, which way do I go?? Just kidding. Thanks for the input. Maybe I'll go both ways.
