The thread on small appliances got me wondering what easy recipes you folks have. Without an outdoor grill, I use my GF often for simple hamburgers or chicken breasts. But the booklet that came with it has nothing but recipes requiring lots of steps - & usually fancy marinating.
I'd love to see some of your pet (simple) recipes . . . and how on earth do you cook veggies on the grill?

My favorite thing to cook on the GF is salmon! I use any of the CL recipes, and get the salmon from Costco that is filleted (no skin and about $3 a pound), then throw it on and cook it until it is flaky. It is always delicious and it's easier to make sure it doesn't overcook, since you can easily check on it every few minutes.
We also cook a lot of the pre-marinated fajita chicken from HEB. Sam's has something similar, but I thought their chicken was gross.

We love making portobella mushrooms on our GF grill. Just brush them with your favorite marinade and they are finished in several minutes.

I also love doing portabellas. The marinade I use is 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar, 2T olive oil, 1 t each basil and oregano, and a clove or 2 of minced garlic. Marinate the mushrooms for about 15 minutes and then grill. I like to serve them as sandwiches (you need a really hearty bread) with romaine, roasted red peppers, and some provolone cheese. DH hates them so I get them all to myself.:D
