Ok, I have been considering a new avatar but do not know if I should... I have a tendency to look for peoples avatars when on a thread to see if they have posted.... will a new avatar send me into oblivion? Will everyone think I have left the airspace never to return?
Does anyone have any suggestions for a good avatar for little ole me? The definition of an avatar according to dictionary.com is as follows: 1. Among people working on virtual reality and cyberspace interfaces, an "avatar" is an icon or representation of a user in a shared virtual reality. So I feel I need something that personifies (sp?) the ME you all know.... My current avatar used to be me but really isn't anymore since the stress level of my job decreased.... I am much more pulled together now.... still weird but not quite so stressed...
Besides, I have never posted a poll before and wanted to try it!!!!:p :D

and I need a new one also! But I don't recognize people when they change their avatars, so maybe I should have said no:confused:

I say go ahead and get a new one. I've thought about changing mine, but haven't found one I really like yet.

It's true! It might take a little while for us to "recognize" you, but we'll get used it it! :)

I thought I needed new glasses. I was reading your post about your name and how your avatar descibed your nursing career being a charge nurse and all. Poof, a litle animal face appears but you are not on line..

Christian avatars (http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Lake/9852/seekfirst.html) Ya have to look around and they are all to large so ya have to use a program like Adobe to change the size so it works. Store it on your computer after you chnge the size then uplaod it from your computer. Have fun!

Hmmm...didn't know you could do that. Which Adobe program? I keep finding ones I like but they're too big. BTW Diane...I liked your psycho smilie! :D (and this is nice too)

Diane,
I liked your old avatar but the new one is super cute! If it reflects your current state of mind more, I say go for it!!!

From psyco smilie to sleeping puppy...things really have changed for you!
I like the new avatar and I have to say I am guilty of both changing my avatar and hating it when people change theirs because it takes me a couple of days to adjust to it....but I always do!
Now if I could figure out how people are posting picture of their pets and kids I'd do that.

Just use a program like Adobe to change the size and save it in your computer and up load it like I told cookinator. It really isn't difficult if the system is working correctly.
