I'm looking for a review! I ran a search, but didn't turn up anything. I want to make it for a dinner party this weekend, and wondered what people thought.

TIA,
Sarah :)

I haven't made it yet, but someone in my Supper Club is bringing it to our dinner Friday night. If you can wait until Saturday for a review, I'll post it here.

We're having it for supper club tomorrow night - it looks so good, I can't wait. I'll post a review too.

That would be great!
Saturday is a little late for the review...I want to make it to serve Sunday, but I would love to hear what you all think! :)

Grace and Sarah, did you have good luck with the orange cream tart?

The person who made it for our Supper Club had a terrible time with it. She couldn't get it to set right, and it leaked all out of the bottom of her tart pan. Since we were having a soup theme for dinner, it seemed to work out well. :D I hope you all didn't have similar disasters.

Somehow we managed to eat the whole thing anyway, despite the fact that it was a little runny. I only had a nibble because I don't really like that kind of dessert. It tasted like a creamsicle to me.

Thanks Val. I must have missed that the first time around.

I really liked it, and I'm not a big fan of cooked pudding-type things.
The edges pulled away from the apringform pan, and while I was afraid that I hadn't gone high enough up the sides, it was okay. I have to admit, I cooked the filling until it was reall thick so that I wouldn't have to worry about it running everywhere.
The flavour was good, and I cheated by icing it with real whipped cream.
I'd recommend it!

I know I'm a year late with this review (and I couldn't find the supper club thread where it was reviewed, so this might be a repeat of someone else's review), but....
I wanted to make this for a year, finally made it, and now would not make it again.
Why not?

1) I chilled it overnight and it still served very sloppily. Other than the first piece, it was a big mess.
2) I love creamsicles, and to me, this did not taste like a creamsicle. It had a perfume-y orange taste. And I did use the orange rind and the Grand Marnier, so it wasn't that I changed the recipe.

Oh well, live and learn. Katie
