Interest in forming Western Connecticut supper club?

I am very interested in starting a supper club in western CT. I live in Western CT, so I am interested in finding others in surrounding towns (Danbury, Brookfield, Bethel, Newtown/Sandy Hook, Monroe, Southbury, etc.) who would like to get together to form a club.

I hope there will be enough interest!! This will be a great opportunity to get together, cook, and get to know others in the area. Once we have a few people showing interest, we can talk about the details.

There are a couple interested folks up my way, but we haven't really formed something yet. Hopefully we'll get more interest (and our lives will all get less busy!).

In the scheme of things Norwalk is not too far on occasion, but if your club also draws from Stamford, Greenwich, etc., those of us in the western and northern parts of Fairfield County would have a bit of a hike. I know that working full time and having a child to tend to may make that distance not do-able for me, at least.

If you get something going, please let me know. Maybe I can make something work.

I've just moved to Ridgefield and I'm hoping there are more people interested in starting a club or that there is one already meeting that is open to new members. I'd prefer northern Fairfield County, but I'm also familiar with southern Fairfield County and would be willing to travel. Any interest?

Hi, my name is Amy and I live in White Plains, NY (15-20 minutes from Greenwich). Would that be too far out to join a western CT club? There doesn't seem to be a NYC or Westchester Co supper club and there has been little response to the idea of starting one - so I would love to join a CT club if that would be possible? Is that too far for you guys to travel over?

I believe you are responding to very old threads. Actually, two clubs started up - one for singles, and one for couples. And both fell apart. They were fun while they lasted!

If you drum up interest, let me know and maybe I'll join again. Are you looking to join as a single, or a couple?

Hi, Denise, and yes, these posts are old (I just realized that too)! I have emailed or messaged everyone directly as well in case they are no longer checking this thread.

I am married, although I'm not sure we even need to specify (can both mingle happily?). We have one in Weston which is terrific, but not open to anyone from out of town. My wife and I very much want mingle outside of our borders!

I'm thinking that the best way to actually make this happen is to pick a date, a location, etc., and post it on a new thread with some sort of ability to screen before we reply with an exact address, etc. And I suppose it wouldn't hurt to encourage each responder to invite another single or couple. Not sure, but I would much rather come to these decisions with someone than by myself! Would you like to work with me on getting something going? If so, please feel free to conact me. I believe I have sent you my contact info through this board.

We have our first Fairfield County Supper Club, with monthly themed dinners, and it starts June 16th in Weston, CT!
