I printed out a recipe "light Lemon Mousse" from an earlier thread which i want to make.
But I'd like to know if there's a lower fat ingredient to use in place of the half & half -- something with the same consistency. Think Evap. Skimmed Milk would work ? TIA

I've substituted FF evaorated milk in soups and casseroles but not in baking. I don't know how much the fat is needed in the recipe but it's worth a try.

Evap. Skimmed Milk I think might work. My mom uses it for a lot of different things. She even puts it in her mashed potatoes. Give it a try.

I think you can find fat free half and half at the grocery.
