I just received the Cooking Light Annual Recipes 2001 (unsolicited) in my mailbox today. I have never thought of buying the annuals because I have MC and buy the Cookpacs. However, I think I just may keep this. I did not realize that the annuals are kept in monthly groups, and I really like that feature. It makes it closer to being able to browse through the magazine for a certain month (of course without the lovely pictures). I think that since I did not keep all of the mags from this year, I will keep this to have a hard copy. I don't always feel like going into MC to print out a recipe when I want it.

I also think that CL picked a great cover (the sour cream lemon poundcake). That just happens to be the same cover I have on my MasterCook cookbook of 2000 recipes!

This year is the first year I ordered the Annual Cookbook, and I'm so glad I did. I'm going to order a few from past years now. It seems much easier than keeping all the back issues at my fingertips!

I just looked it up on Amazon to pre-order (they don't have it yet) and the cover they show has onion rings on it. How funny, that there would be two different covers.

Like you, Laura, I have MC and buy Cookpacs. I did indulge in Annual Recipes 2000 and will get 2001 as well. I like having a book to leaf through occasionally, and like you -- I like having the recipes arranged by month, and not having to print from MC every time!

BethR - the different cover thing is definitely wierd. I checked the CL store and it shows the book with the pound cake on it. Maybe it was originally going to be onion rings and Amazon got a picture of an early version? I doubt that there are actually two covers, but that would be interesting to see!

Well, I just checked Amazon to see it with my own eyes. Isn't that odd? Maybe a CL staffer is reading and can explain.

Bringing back up to the top. This is very curious. Hope someone from the CL Admin Office
can explain.
