Delight, for more info on springform pans see the post I started a few days ago http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/Forum1/HTML/002847.html I got lots of wonderful help from people on picking out a springform pan. I'm probably going to look for one this weekend.

I now wish I had paid better attention to my mom in the kitchen!!
I have no idea what a spring form pan is!! Sad.
I came acrossed a recipe just the other day that called for one, I just used a regular pie pan and it seemed to come out okay.
I'm thinking a spring form is the kind of pan with a big home in the middle is that right?

Delight- A spring pan is a two piece pan. It is perfectly round with a hinge on the side/top half. When the hinge is released this part can be removed from the bottom/platform.
