-- on the SciFi network?

I'm not a big science fiction fan, but I'm enjoying this miniseries. It makes an interesting character study. I think anyone who likes mysteries or stories about the human condition would like it. The first run concludes on Friday night, but re-runs start next week (I think).

The series traces the generations of three families and their experiences with being taken by aliens or investigating the phenomenon. There are some flaws- like the ages of some of the characters weren't totally believable and I didn't like the ending of the episode where Sam Crawford discovers the hybrids in Alaska.

I'd like to know what other people think, if anyone else here is watching it.

I started watching it, DH was even getting into it, but last week and this week were so busy and fractured that I've only caught bits and pieces.

I'm hoping (assuming) that it will come out on video or DVD so I can buy it and watch it in longer time periods. Rainy days, boring weekends......(do we have boring weekends? :p )

I think I did see an ad for a DVD, in between IBM and Bowflex commercials. (those are getting a little old)

Yep, I'm watching. I love stuff like this. It's a big time commitment, so I tape most of them and watch them at odd times. I haven't watched the last couple yet, and they pile up quick!

I've been watching it in bits and pieces. Wasn't it Sunday that it was a marathon? We watched about 4 hours of it and then had to go to a Scouts Christmas party/potluck. We're really enjoying it! It'd be awesome if it came out on DVD. I'll buy it!:)

I've been taping it, to watch later in the season. I like having a little something in reserve for those rainy winter days.

Dh and I watched it every night...we enjoy science-fictiony movies and tv shows. It was very good, but we both enjoyed the "earlier" installments better (the ones that were set in the 1940s-early 1960s), though the "little girl" character towards the end was wonderful. I think she's the same actress that played in "I am Sam"

She sure is! Isn't she a great little actress?
