Well...ONE MORE TIME to ask this question (I don't know how to search the prior times it's been sked)...how do you go about posting a picture? I went to browse and found the pic I wanted to share clicked on it, saw it in the attachment box, then it doesn't post. I didn't think it was too big...I'm not sure.
If I could bother anyone for information, I would greatly appreciate it!

Was this a picture from your C drive? Someone mentioned that they also couldn't post from the computer but putting the picture(s) on a website (like Imagestation) you are able to either link to the photo(s) or post it in your thread. I hope this helps.

Thanks so much Crystal...I'll give that a try. Yes, the picture is from my C drive...hmmmmmm...hope your suggestion works. However, I'm not very computer savvy, so your suggestion is probably just what I need to do, but it's whether I can come through!

You can actually just enter in the URL of the image (if you right click on the image and then say "open image in new window", it'll give you the URL and will end with a .jpg or .gif)

To add the avatar, click on "User cp" (at the top), click on "Edit Options", scroll to the bottom and then click on "Change Avatar." Scroll to bottom and enter the URL of your avatar. Click "Submit"

If you have any problems, send me an email and I'll help as best I can.

Sue,

You need to 'view the original' if your image at Imagestation. Then copy the whole address.

When you do your BB post use the IMG tag. Paste in the link you copied, but remove the '.orig.jpg' from the end of the link.

That should do it.

Ooooh - you're getting there. :) Instead of copying the URL from your address bar, you'll have to do something else.
1. Right click on the photo you want to paste.
2. Choose "Properties."
3. Highlight the whole address, from "http" to the first "jpg" or "gif."
4. Click the IMG button when you're trying to post it on here, and the bulletin board will take care of the rest.

I found the photo for you! ;) Your cabinets are beautiful - let me know if you need help getting it up on the other thread.

Sue,

I'm pretty sure you have to have the picture in an album to link to it. So, if it's just in your 'inbox' it won't work. Once the picture is in your album you can view it. It should say 'click to view original' which is where I get my link from. Or, where you can do the right click and view properties. Just remember to only copy up to the first .jpg

I like your kitchen.

Hi Susan,
It's me --again! This time on the right track :)
Here's how I posted the image on a PC using AOL 8.0:
1. Go to the imagestation site where your pic is located:
http://www.imagestation.com/mypictures/inbox/view.html?id=4243646282&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.imagestation.com%2Fpicture%2F sraid42%2Fp2182aa33443f30b7cecf13164ca9e022%2Ffcf0 e74a.jpg&caption=plasmolensusaninthelittlekitchen
2. Right click on the image
3. Click on "Properties"
4. A window will appear that has a tab "General" Under that tab is an "Address (URL)"
5. Highlight that address "http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid42/p2182aa33443f30b7cecf13164ca9e022/fcf0e74a.jpg"
6. Right click and highlight "copy" (You may want to paste that address into a Word document or somewhere to make sure you don't lose it)
7. Go into your bb reply screen
8. Click on the "IMG" button
9. Paste your image URL into the opening window (make sure there's not a double http:// at the beginning)
10. Click submit. It should look like this except the parenthesis marks are brackets:
(IMG)=http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid42/p2182aa33443f30b7cecf13164ca9e022/fcf0e74a.jpg(/IMG)

Just trying to see if I can do this . . .

http://www.shutterfly.com/view/picture_dt.jsp?state=67b0de21b98df9646540&idx=0

trying again . . .

I wonder if it is the site I have my pictures on? I will try putting one on imagestation and see if I can do it that way.

Hi clairea,
I think what happened was that you are using the page Internet Address rather than the image Internet address. Make sure that you are viewing just the image in a blank page and the address should end in a .jpg or .gif Usually, you have to right click and view the "Properties" or in Internet Explorer, right click on "View Image in New window"
