Problem w/ Santa Fe Chicken recipe

We made this the other day....very yummy, excellent for lunch, but it had burned the beans and corn to the bottom of my crockpot after just a short time. I would question cooking it in high.....

As a general rule I never cook on high with my crockpot since I usually have to leave the food in the crockpot all day. I enjoyed the Santa Fe Chicken and would definitly make it again.

I've never had the corn or beans burn to the bottom, but I do have a problem with the chicken being overdone. I think that my crockpot runs very hot and cooks too hot on high - I usually follow the time directions for high, but put it on low (make sense???).
