Can I freeze egg nog?

I love the stuff and it is never available off-season. If so, do you freeze in bags like you do buttermilk?

I would think it would be OK to freeze.
My father used to freeze milk and it was fine :rolleyes: :eek:

Dairy eggnog freezes well so freeze some extra during the Christmas
season and have a treat during the summer! You can freeze eggnog
in 1 cup containers

Our friend brought over some frozen egg nog she had from Christmas last night and left it with us. There is no way we can drink all of it (really any of it - it is full of booze - busy week) and I wonder if we can freeze it again now that it has already been thawed. I was telling DH that we can't, but I can't give him a reason. What do you guys reckon?

I'm not sure if the "light" version is different, but I had bought some and on the carton it did not recommend freezing.
