View Full Version : baking pound cakes in mini loaf pans

I bought some mini loaf pans, sized 3"x6", to make the sour-cream and brown sugar pound cakes as gifts. How long do I cook them and at what temperature? The pans have a dark nonstick finish.

I think you'll have to experiment. I just made a batch of cranberry bread last night using the small loaf pans, and I think they baked for just slightly more than half the time before they were done. I would do a first check at 20 minutes, then depending on how far along they are, check again every 5 or 10 minutes. Once you've made the first batch, make a note on your recipe how long it took, so you'll know next time.
