Anyone read about this?

My mother just sent me a link she read about in the paper this morning for some CD music settlement thing. The web site is www.musiccdsettlement.com and basically you just fill out this form and it says you might get a cash settlement of between $5 and $20. I filled it out, I figured what could it hurt? You have to do it before midnight on March 3 though.

If too many people file, then no one gets any part of the settlement. It will be donated to charity. The lawyers will get their fair share though.

Just resurrecting this thread - I just got a check in the mail for about $14 from the settlement. :p I will try not to spend it all in one place!

I just heard about this on the news this morning. They said most people got around $14. That's great, Anne! Wish I saw this thread last year!

My husband and I both got a check for $13.87 (I think) today. :D

I'm the proud owner of a $13.86 check. :D It came in the mail today. I'm glad someone posted this information today. The mailer looks suspiciously like junk mail.

Ooooohhh....where can I spend this major windfall?? :D

Boy was I surprised to see this thread pop back up! I didn't even remember what it was about. :eek: I wonder if I'll get a check, or if I did and threw it out thinking it was junk mail or something. :rolleyes: Congratulations to all of you who got your settlement checks! I'm sure the overwhelming satisfaction of knowing justice has been served will help you sleep better at night. ;) :D

I read this thread yesterday and completly forgot about it. Apparently, BMG or Columbia House sent me the information last year and I sent it in, because in the mail last night was my check for $13 something. Very cool!

It's too late to sign up. there was a deadline, I think of last April, maybe. I can't remember. In fact, I completely forgot about it all. sorry.

I forgot about it also and when it recently got bumped up, I was surprised to see I had even posted this thread last year. :rolleyes: I don't know when the deadline to file a claim was, but since I posted this link last March, and we're all getting our checks now, I assume it was awhile ago. Sorry to all of you who missed this thread last year! :(
