Has anyone else had trouble with the dough being too sticky in some of these recipes? Could pre-sifted flour be my problem? I made the oatmeal and lemon-honey cookies, and the dough was sticky. When I baked the cookies, they turned out very flat and crisp. Thanks!

I have not made the cookies, but with other recipes, if the dough is sticky, I will add a bit more flour, but more importantly, I refrigerate the dough. I just saw a show on foodtv that discussed crispy cookies/flat, versus, chewy fat cookies. One thing they said was to obtain the chewier, fatter kind, you should refrigerate the dough and drop with a cookie scoop. Being in a ball and being cold, gives the dough more time to rise rather than spread and go flat...Hope this helps some.

Hi - I just made the lemon-honey cookies and I did not have any problems. I did use butter and did not over beat. I thought they were easy. I did have to add alittle more lemon juice to the frosting.
