New cast-iron pot, how lovely are you
So hearty and plump, and so well-seasoned too
From the box I did lift you with a shimmering shine
Yet, fair are you now with a golden behind
Not skinny, but fat and rotund is your shape
My love, in the kitchen with you I’ll escape
To braise and brown in the slow-cooker way
An American pot roast with potatoes today
You tart, how you caused me to stray, such a looker
But I just can’t resist you, cast-iron slow cooker


So, now you all can accuse me of having too much time on my hands!
