I did a quick search and didn't see a review on these, so here goes!

I made these last night for dinner and we loved them. I must confess that I used up a pound of frozen flounder for the fish in the recipe. I'm sure it was due to the frozen fish, that the balls were goopy until I cooked them, so they were more like fat ovals, than balls. The flavor was very good, fairly mild without the chili sauce. My children (5 and 7) ate them without batting an eye--a remarkable event from the 5 y.o.! I will definitely make these again, using fresh fish. I thought they were very easy. I made the balls ahead of time and refrigerated them till dinnertime.

I would like some ideas on side dishes to go with them. I know this recipe was listed in the index as an appetizer, but I served it as the entree. I fixed brown rice and broccoli and kiwi for the rest of the meal, but I know there must be something better than plain rice to go along with it. Any suggestions? Thanks!

We just made these at our Supper Club dinner and we thought they were very good. We used fresh fish and didn't seem to have too much problem with extra moisture. The recipe said to serve them with cocktail sauce and we felt it overpowered the more delicate flavor of the fish.

I forgot about this recipe. Always meant to try it. Thanks for the reminder, Peggy. I read your Supper Club review, and got a chuckle out of it! :)

Kristal,

The fish balls really were a good appetizer. Do give them a try when the opportunity presents itself. Just come up with a better name for them before serving to family/friends!;) :D :o
