Anyone interested in starting a supper club in the Raleigh or Wake Forest area? I love to cook. My husband doesn't cook, but does enjoy eating the end product. We're both in our late 20s and are looking to start a club with 20- and 30-somethings.

Very possibly. DH and I are really wanting to meet other people in the area our age (we're mid-20s) and would love to start a club with others in that age range. How far out do you live? We live in NW Raleigh at the intersection of Lynn and Glenwood, and we'd be quite interested in joining if everyone lived fairly close by (we'd be much more likely to attend). We'd also be more interested if this was a Cooking Light oriented club. Thoughts, comments?

Did this ever go anywhere, and/or are people still interested? My wife and I would be very interested a suppoer club. We're in Durham, but can travel.

I've only received one response to the supper club prior to yours. Unfortunately, unless I suddenly receive more requests, it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Thank you for your interest.

I think there are a lot of interested people out there, but it is hard sometimes to get everything together. I would love to hear from people in Raleigh, Wake Forest, and the area. I think a once monthly gathering would be a fun way to try things, and it wouldn't take much work. I noticed the activity on this board is slow, but I'm happy to help put things together. Please leave a note if you are interested! Tdaq, if you ever get on this board, drop a note.

We're in Chapel Hill. I don't know if we could make the trip to Wake Forest that often but would love to give it a try. My wife just started residency. I'm the cook and didn't think I'd love it this much (thanks to the "Superfast" section in Cooking Light).

Hey everybody-
I'm so excited that several people have shown an interest. Unfortunately, there are some personal issues going on in mine and my husband's lives right now (family illness, job lay-offs, etc.), so we may not be able to participate immediately. However, I'm hoping within a few months it will all pass. So, if you happen to start something up on your own, please keep me updated and I'd love to participate in the future. If not, I'd love to try to organize a get-together down the road. I have been checking in on this board, so feel free to reply.
Thanks again for the interest.

Hi, All! Our Supper Club has had a great two year run but we have lost some members due to relocation and other family obligations. We are looking for new people to join our group, both couples and singles who of course like to cook, especially from Cooking Light recipes, but we accept any yummies from other sources - we call it "healthy cooking." We are very casual, not many guidelines, and we have been trying to meet once a month. We usually have a theme to our get-togethers: nationality cooking, desserts, appetizers, finger foods, secret ingredient foods, whatever! We are an ecclectic group - young and old, we used to have singles, married-not married---

Please e-mail me directly if you are interested in coming to a dinner in January to meet us. We haven't set the date quite yet, but we usually do meet on weekends since we all work.

Thank you!

Have you heard anything about this supper club? I was just wondering? I was just watching a show on Food Network about cooking clubs and thought that sounded kind of fun but I was looking for one with just women. I live in Rolesville and wondered if anyone was interested.
