I tried the recipe for mint-chocolate truffles featured in the "Gifts from the Kitchen" section. Let me say, it was a disaster.

I followed the directions and ended up with a granular substance which was totally useless. It seems that the dry ingredients outweigh the moist by a 5:1 ratio.

Did anyone else try it and succeed or fail?

I had planned to make these but now would like to hear from someone who had some success before I try them!

I made them yesterday - Oh what a mess!!! I tried not to use a whole box of powdered sugar thinking that made them too dry. It was dry anyway - DON'T BOTHER MAKING THEM

WOW. I couldn't wait to try these. Guess this recipe goes in the trash. I'm so grateful for this bb. I understand everyone's luck is different, but I HATE the thought of wasting the time, energy, and ingredients for something that may or may not work.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who had a problem. I sent Cooking Light an e-mail Sunday about the recipe. It was a disappointment and a big culinary mess.

I made these today and they turned out very good. I did have to add some extra milk to the icing to get it to flow smoothly. Not too much though. I put them in the freezer for 6 hours. Be sure to leave plenty of space between cookies as they spread.
